HK-dir is preparing the transition to a new system for administering tests in Norwegian, social studies, and the Norwegian citizenship test. An important part of this work is ensuring that the personal data transferred to the new system is accurate and up to date. This is necessary to protect your privacy, among other things by ensuring that the information about you in the test system is correct.

What information will be changed or updated?

Over the coming weeks, HK-dir will review and update your identity information in the test system. This may include your Norwegian national identity number, D number, DUF number, or passport number. We make changes if the information we have is incorrect or does not match the updated information about you in the National Population Register.

Before making any changes, we will save a copy of the information currently stored in the test system. We do this to be able to correct any errors if something is not updated properly. Once we are completely certain that the information is correct, we will delete this copy.

What does the law say about the changes and updates HK-dir will make to your information in the test system?

HK-dir is permitted to correct and update your personal data to ensure that it is accurate and of good quality. This follows from data protection legislation, the Integration Act, and the Integration Regulations.The regulations also give us the right to obtain necessary information from you, the municipality, and the National Population Register. This is necessary to administer and document tests in Norwegian, social studies, and the Norwegian citizenship test in the test system.
